Turnkey Industrial & Commercial Fit-Out for a Specialised Facility
SIM have completed a number of key fit-out projects across multiple sites for GBA Group. Specialising in the automotive industry, SIM’s stand-out contract was the delivery of a complete fit-out refurbishment to create the Automotive Technical Centre in Grimsby. We were tasked with a complete re-development of dilapidated industrial units to create the facility.
The 2.3 Acre site was redeveloped from dilapidated timber merchants to create the specialist facility, comprising both industrial and commercial spaces. We completed a full-scale renovation of the building- creating office spaces, a body shop, 2 PDI testing centres, an electric vehicle hub, and a commercial valet bay.
A complete overhaul of each building was required to develop functionality specific to each process. The overhaul included structural upgrades, joinery, ceilings, and specialist floor coverings. We also installed new cladding, security doors, and electric roller shutters across the site. Our contract team assisted in the design, procurement and installation of new equipment alongside upgrades to mechanical, electrical, IT, key lighting and resurfacing across the Centre.
SIM successfully completed the ambitious commercial and industrial fit-out project within 10 weeks. SIM Fit-Out has subsequently been chosen as the preferred contractor for multiple GBA projects, including developing a new centralised control hub, specialist inspection facilities, ongoing maintenance & building upgrades. Utilising our specialised knowledge across multiple sectors alongside our expert contract management, SIM continues to deliver fit-out and refurbishment works for GBA across their nationwide network of sites.
